Note;
     The Elgin City Cemetery closed in 1906 and families were asked to remove their loved ones and the city of Elgin offered free plots for this.   The local G.A.R. Post tried to make sure that no soldier was left behind, even paying for the re-internment themselves, it is possible he was left behind when the Elgin city Cemetery was raised in 1947.
